‘Beyond’

This piece depicts a fully grown male lion gazing forward. What I loved about this piece is that because his head fills the space, the idea of what he is gazing at is open to interpretation. It’s my first time doing a large drawing like this that fills the space which was quite a daunting prospect however I adored the gentle expression on his face so knew he was the one I wanted to draw.
